To be honest, I don't feel that bad about it. Sure it's a piss off, but I look at it as a positive. We went 7 hard games with a much more experienced team (over a 1000 more playoff games on their roster) and only 2 years removed from the cup. The way we lost is very typical Toronto though. Blowing a 3 goal lead in the third... Hard lessons hopefully learned for the 2nd youngest team in the league. Jake Gardiner, James Reimer, Phil Kessel, JVR, they all played great and should be better for it next season.

The worst part is the Ottawa fans. Them being the last Canadian team left, and being from Ontario, they are in full chirp mode.

Now my allegences turn to Detroit. Lets Go Red Wings!

Ottawa will get raped by Pittsburgh.

That seriously was the worst possible way to lose. The headline on the sports section of The Star read "Did that really happen?!" and that's all I could think of this morning.

Dude I work with went to bed when it was 4-2, didn't know Toronto lost until we got to work this morning and we talked about the game. He was pumped about a Toronto-Rags match-up. As was the rest of Leafs nation...

lol ouch. When they went up 4-1 they showed a shot of Dave Nonis and he didn't react at all. He knows no lead is safe with this team.

So is Frattin any good? Didn't really think Toronto needed another goalie but Bernier and Reimer is a nice, solid tandem.

Also, enjoying the finals. Two different but great teams battling it out.

Frattin reminds me of Viktor Stalberg. Fast, big body, can give d-men fits with his speed and drive to the net, he just doesn't have the hands to finish. But if his hands ever catch up to his feet, he could be a 30 goal man. Scrivens is nothing more than a decent back up that still needs work, and who knows what that 2nd will become. I didn't think we needed Bernier either, but apparently this trade has been in the works for months now. I'm much much happier we got Bernier than Luongo. Sucks for Reimer though, he was awesome in the playoffs with a few screw ups, but it wasn't his fault we imploded. I put most of the blame on captain Dion. But it was a team effort. I'd like Nathan Horton as a UFA, a healthy Horton in our top 6 would be deadly.

Bolland was awesome a couple of years back but honestly I find him to be quite underwhelming now, despite scoring the stanley cup winning goal. Maybe he can bounce back in Toronto.

He's cheap, youngish, and got 2 cup rings. He's also Toronto born. Bye bye Bozak? I hope not.

I hope so....word is he's looking for at least $5 million with a long term contract. No thanks. If the Leafs can get either Weiss or Lecavalier we'll be fine at centre.

If we can score one of those two, then yeah, bye Bozak. Bolland does the same thing but with 2 rings. But if we can't/don't get Vinny or Weiss, we will be hurting down the middle. I'd like Vinny, Horton and Ference. That would be a sick offseason. And re-sign Kadri and Bernier obviously. Oh and buyout Komisarek.

Leafs just bought out Mikhail Grabovski. I hate the fact we lose him for nothing, but I like the fact that with his and Komisareks buyout, we have like 26 million to spend tomorrow.

Most rumours suggest David Clarkson and Stephen Weiss will be Leafs.

One out of two ain't bad :)

Kings lost a top 4 d-man in Rob Scuderi aaaaaaand not much else. Signed yet another 7th d-man as insurance in Jeff Schultz giving the Kings a total of 9 defensemen, 5 or 6 of them not being capable of handling more than sheltered minutes on the third pair, and a few barely even that. And one of the good d-men, Willie Mitchell, just missed an entire year with knee problems and may or may not be playing. And our best natural left winger is grinder Kyle Clifford, forcing Dustin Brown and Matt Frattin into top 6 roles on their off wings. There are TWO left handed shots on the Kings' top three lines. And the Kings barely have any money left to make moves.

Oof. Willie Mitchell better be healthy, that's all I'm gonna say.

I guess a fantasy league would be a tad optimistic?
