Here's mine:


Sunday

Omniscient arms massage my back,
As I lay face down on concrete flats,
And the sun has never felt so warm,
As it has today – at half past four.

I opposed the elder’s words of wise,
And his pensive look revealed disguise,
Of worry for my restless soul,
Or a mirror to the man inside.

So I looked up to the highest high,
Far past the freshly painted sky,
And saw God staring back at me,
With the eyes that were my own.

And I fell facedown on concrete flats,
With a smile – and a freedom
that would last.

man, I drew up some stiff competition. Here goes:

Hell is Ice

Hell hath no fury
no wrenching, torturous
flames belched from furnaces

fury, anger, strife
these can be born by man
as they burn the mortal coil
they warm in a foreign manner

the blank stare, emotionless
no anger,
contempt when at it's zenith
freezes the marrow
dealing blows, more grievous and complete
than all wrath

It's a hard choice, but I'm going to have to vote for Jaden, although unknown's was pretty good.

Agreed on Uknowns title. Other than that i preffered it. btw u did mean 'fury' not 'furry' right?

Damn, for once both poems are actually good!! But Jaden's poem is unbeatable in my opinion, one of the very best I've read lately so my vote goes to Jaden.
