Yes, this looks off the wall awesome! It looks like they went back to the 80's style action movies for this one. Nice.

Even the style of the trailer is totally 70's/80's - I love it!

So he's not going after the Taliban after all? Looks promisingly homoerotic, though, so should be another goody.

lol... old Rambo is more br0tal than ever :D ... but... a 61-years-old soldier is somewhat unbelievable, he he... just like the 60-years-old boxer  .. but i'll look forward to this :D in Rambo 5 we'll probably see Rambo beating the crap out of some more asian ppl with his cane

nice to see that the guy has made a somewhat comeback after several years with mediocre movies.. also nice to see that he's returning to the movies that made him famous in the first place. Rocky, Rambo

This looks gory. WTF? Rambo was never that gory.

This movie seemed cool until I saw an interview a couple weeks ago how Stallone wanted to show Christ through his movies. I rolled my eyes...

Commando II ftw! :dio:

First Blood is better than it is generally given credit for.

Stallone got in trouble in Aus (where they are filming the movie) for having shitloads of testoterone.

If the movie is anything like the trailer then we're talking of a seriously big turd of a movie. First 2 minutes of the trailer were totally boring, they didn't offer anything to the viewers than remind them that Stallone still can't act (or even talk) and that this scenario has been done a thousand times before (even in the Rambo series). Then when the action comes, nothing improves much. The blood/splatter effects were awful and totally unrealistic. The jungle theme fits with Rambo but it feels so overused and there have been so many other movies that used it to much better extend. And Rambo is soooo old! He should pick somebody of his own age and should be fighting against white haired & bearded kung-fu masters instead.
My only hope for the movie (and it's late redemption) is if they decide to actually let Rambo die at the end which would be an interesting twist, going against the established hollywood style of happy endings.

It's cheesy, it's bloody (realistic or not), and it has an 80's feel to it. Of course its going to be bad, but that is also what will make it so damn awesome! Who here loves the cheesy 80's action movies? I know I sure as hell do.

If seen from that perspective then I agree with you ness. It's just that I was hoping for something actually worthy of the money renting it or even worthy of the time spent watching it. Many other series marched with modern times/styles and newer effects and cinematography. Some of them flunked but several did amazingly well so I was thinking in that wavelength. If the makers of Rambo 4 really intend to create a trully 80s movie then I suppose that could possibly have its fanbase. But in that case I would not really expect a blockbuster making millions....
