Image

Just what the world needs, a live action Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Featuring a slumming Jason Lee(why Brody? Why?) and the Chipmunks who look like they just stepped out of a mid-80's RUN DMC video!?! :blink:

I'm confused by this. I know the kids are into Hip-Hop primarlily these days, but the image being portrayed here is from a good 20 years ago. This is what happens when old White executives try to make something "hip and cool."

Unintentional hilarity is bound to ensue.

Between the Internet and awful remakes I think my inner child has taken all the beatings and rapes it can handle.

And here I was thinking that Hollywood was all about story telling and not making money. Oh, and I just wrote a fan fiction script for a sequel;

Dave: "Allviiiiiiiiiin"
*hijinx ensues*

Haha, I saw that cartoon on tv when I was a child. And back then it was already pretty old. I can't believe they are acually making a movie of this.
What's next? Eek the cat?

Eek the cat needs its own full length cartoon movie. That and the Terrible Thunder Lizards because they were epically awesome.

They need to stop making live action movies with a couple cgi character (eg: Garfield, Scooby Doo) because it looks lame and shitty. My 4 year old nephew even thinks that they are bad.

And yes I did grow up watching cartoons in the 90s.

First Underdog, now this? This is even worse because Alvin And The Chipmunks was actually a great cartoon series. While Underdog was always kind of lame.

Goddammit.

I was never a particular fan of that show, but...they're just not going to stop, are they? Not until every shred of my generation's childhood has been violated. Anally. With a cactus.

That movie was awesome.

Oh shit I forgot about the new Underdog movie. I'm pretty sure Jason Lee is in that too. Jason Lee needs his ass kicked.
