I have scored a 20-30 times, however, the shots where simply perfect. Curving around the wall, just like R. Carlos did in 98 or whatever, right into to upper corner.

indeed. Your attackers benefit from it. However, if you play on top player difficult level, at least, and most of your team members is in very good condition. You get fucked. I always score less goals, makes shittier passes than before, etc. + the opposite team is more aggressive than ussual.
Pes series is also known for it's team stat catch-up. When u play against a good team, you're often more likely to score a whole lot of goals than when you play against a mediocre team because they get stat boost etc..
And this is true. With my 99stat team i have played against a 25stat team, both teams i created myself. The 25stat team would catch up on me, despite the 70 stat difference. However, if i switched sites and joined the 25stat team, i was barely able to run. Sure i beat them easily, they were not taller than 1.4 meters after all

plus they got injuried easily. Most fun i ever had :dio:

i've said before that PES6 is criminally overrated. i mean, it is the best footie game out there, but the competition (the FIFA series) is simply laughable. it's good fun and a good game, with loads of options and all, but the small gripes in the middle of the match really take some enjoyment out of it. i really wish people didn't see it as the be-all-end-all of videogames, because i haven't played any game with my friends but PES. i wouldn't be so annoyed if everyone wasn't so obcessed about it.

It also happens often inside the box where your player dribbles accross the goal line along with the ball, despite one tries to pull him in the opposite direction several meters before. However, this mostly happens when he his under pressure from a opposite team member, but still... Your goalie is retarded too. It doesn't matters how good your goalie is, a mediocre goalie is just as good as the best. He'll still fumble the ball, do stupid things, and can't save no shit. Scores are retarded too, unless you score 3 goals with a one player or he makes a few assists, he'll get a crappy score. Even after 10 goals over half your team members will still get 5.5-6.0. My goalie has an average score of 5.8 after a season, despite he only let 5-8 goals in the net ( i'm good at with defense players, cuz the goalie suck, but even my defense players get crappy scores). So in the end only your attackers will get onto the top 5 rankings in their catagory, and their stats will grow more frequently than the rest of the team players, since the score determine the rate of growth. Another thing that's retarded is the stats of the players. When you start the game all players are rather mediocre, even the players that are supposed to be send from God himself sucks. You have to play several seasons before any super duber players appear. How realistic is that? How about letting the superstars be fucking godly right away instead of waiting 3-4 seasons? The amount of superstars should be almost constant like in reality, not booming all of a sudden in the 4th or 5th season. The commentators are retarded too. Shame stupid shit over and over again. The goalkeeper will react just as the ball leaves your feet, despite the fact he shouldn't be able to even see the ball before it has passed the wall - this is on the top player difficult level, however - in Pes5 in was more realistic. the last 300 matches i played with my own edited teams of demons, all had 99 in all stats, all abilties and was around 2 meters tall. But it changed absolutely nothing, the AI controlling the players you didn't control was still fucking retarded, still awful passes and receives, still crappy goal keeper, even worse driblings than before, less accurate less speed. For some reason C. Ronaldo was the best dribler in the game, he could also run faster that anyone else, even without having maxing out the required stats. I like the growth system, though, i think it could be improved, so you for example had different growth models according to your position on the field. But it's still fucking frustrating to see that star players play like retards. Will i buy Pes7? i dunno, i will see what fifa comes up with. But i agree, i still consider Pes to be better than fifa. However, Pes was never flawless, every single game had bugs in them, but whenever they are fixed, new bugs find its way into the game.

I'm a very sore loser too. Especielly when i play Settlers of Catan with my family. I also remember back in the days when i went to gymnasium, i often played Pes3 against one of my friends, and whenever he scored on me, i punched him and yelled at him. Of course, some games pisses me more off than others. Losing in bowling f.ex. is not a problem, or any other kind of sports for that matter. I only seems to be a problem in football games, beat-em up games and Settlers of Catan.

well TBH i've only played the computer on top player a handful of times, i usually play with my cousins - like i did for most of today, and BLOODY HELL DO THOSE SMALL FLAWS REALLY ANNOY ME!! the main problem is tackling - there isn't an actual "stick your foot in" tacke button, instead you either pressure with X or Square or run the right way into the ball. often a player is running right into you and you can see the ball right on your defender's feet, but he won't take control, instead the attacker just carries on. a good dribbler (i mean the actual human player) is the best PES player, because if you have someone like Ronaldo or Rooney (who's strong as fuck) and you can get a good diagonal run going into the box, it's damn near impossible to stop him from scoring because they can easily dribble past the keeper or even force a penalty out of him!

I'd take up cricket if I was you! The last PES I bought was 5 and I hated the fact after 10 seasons (yep, I fucked that game hardcore) I'd keep buying young players with potential for example like Ryan Babel and although his stats were better than the 33 year old Etoo I had in my squad, Etoo was the far superior player. Since then I've stopped buying PS2 games and at the grand old age of 32 am still waiting for the PS3 to come down in price. FIFA games are plain terrible, so I'd give PES two more sequels on that console before I expect to posses the greatest football game ever. That or I'll just have to take up gardening...
