So I have an impacted wisdom tooth that has become infected, spread to the back of my mouth and into my throat, and has caused me a 4 day long fever and many lost hours of sleep.

Worst part:
I'M IN COLLEGE DAMN IT.

well.. wisdom tooths often cause trouble. Many get them pulled out simply because they can't fit in the mouth. That's about the dumbest design nature has come up with yet, almost, i wish women had 3 boobs like in Total Recall

Dunno if i have gotten mine yet. I think i have, but i have had no trouble yet.

so, are you going to get it pulled out? or root canal surgery thingy, or what?

Wisdom teeth made sense when we didn't have toothpaste and dentistry and lost a few by the time we hit our 20's. At this point, they're more like appendices, far more trouble than they're worth.

sure thing.. if u lost a few canine teeths then there was room enough.
I think, however, that the chance of losing some of the front teeths was higher, due to a rock-throwing idiot caveman called Uag. It would have been wicked if we had two rows of teeth. :)

I'm taking antibiotics for a week in hope that the tooth will finish coming out, and thus rid of the fleshy gum cover causing the infection. If that doesn't end up happening, I'm getting the thing removed. The infection runs from my left wisdom tooth, all the way down to mid esophagus. Eating hurts during chewing, swallowing, and transportation to the stomach. I've lost many pounds.

Damn, that sucks. I often have severe gum aches when my wisdom teeth were growing. I normally chewed on something, putting pressure on that particular tooth. Im not sure if I've got all mine out yet, but I dread the day when they pop out. I don't think I need to extract any of it cos it's not giving me problems. I have a big mouth, can't deny it.

Take care, dude. It's good that you're in college. A fine excuse for skipping lectures.
