trouble with that is that half the year I'm too busy with my studies to actually sit down and listen through an album and listen with enough focus to write a decent review, between now and March I'll have some time but then I'm in full study mode until about this time so I would only be able to review casually at best

You do your best whenever fits you. Not much asked if your "engagment terms" are clear enough.
Well, you have to be able to write decent enough reviews too.

admin on the other forum I'm part of saw fit to post my review of the debut album by Nevertanezra on the front page so I'd say I have that part pretty much down

may look into joining the team, was searching before to see if some of the power metal bands I like were in here, most are but there's a couple I was surprised to see and others I was surprised weren't here

I don't really like Defeater, but if you want it... Wait, is that a new album?

I can do this.
Not sure you'll like my opinion of it, though.

Nah...it's not even that.
Actually, I'm struggling to find albums that would fit MR lately. I didn't listen to much metal lately and did spin this one so every opportunity is goot to take. But it's so damn average...

just looking through some of the albums that have been reviewed in the past and I gotta say I'm surprised to see that so many I was going to suggest have actually been reviewed

don't think I could be a reviewer on here even if I could contribute regularly with so few albums in my collection unreviewed

only two requests I have are reviews of

Alethian - Dying Vine and Future's End - Memoirs Of A Broken Man

but I'm not expecting those to get positive reviews so...

The trouble is with it that the volume of requests gets so huge so quickly that there's little chance of getting to grips with it even if we had a much larger team of reviewers. Hence not setting up a 2013 requests thread; been hoping no-one would say anything, actually... :P

I'd be willing to set up a 2013 request thread if people really wanted, but my promotional backlog is already massive, and given some weeks I struggle to get anything reviewed at all these days... What do people think?

Still, I'll add As Jerusalem Burns to my list, and hopefully will get more time in coming weeks and over the summer to burn through some stuff, including possibly from the 2012 request list if I can...

*tumbleweed*

Seriously, if a 2013 request list would be useful for people, then someone say so and I'll set one up. Even if not *everything* from it gets reviewed, it is still a useful resource for reviewers and at least guarantees a base level of interest...

Hmm...Deafheaven's Sunbather doesn't seem to have been reviewed on the site yet. That was a pretty interesting album from this year.

It's definitely on the list to be done, although I think someone else is thinking of doing that...

Same reply again - someone (not me) has reserved it, should be on its way.

I don't have a lot of suggestions from recent years because I really haven't bought many recent albums focusing instead on older albums but I may browse through here and come up with a couple of older albums that may have been missed
