These albums are probably not "genre-defining albums" or even the best in their respective labels of metal, but they are all timeless pieces that are just as good now as they were first released. At least they could be archived.

AGALLOCH's "Pale Folklore" should have been a classic.

I agree 100% on Tiamat's Wildhoney, and I can even agree on Tales of a Thousand Lakes though I personally find the album to be tedious.

^^ Agreed on Wildhoney--an all-time classic.

Tales from The Thousand Lakes I basically with Steve on--there are some memorable tracks (Black Winter Day the obvious one) but as a whole the album drags at places.

I'd really use Elegy for an Amorphis "classic".

Thousand Lakes is indeed tedious but definitely deserving of classic status due to its impact.

A classic doesn't necessarily have to be perfect.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets bored by it (one of the many albums I've sold over the years).

Also think Tiamat's Wildhoney should be there even though I never liked Tiamat (one of my mates used to rave on about them).

Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak
Kreator - Pleasure To Kill
Sodom - Persecution Mania
Crimson Glory - s/t
Amorphis - Tales From The Thousand Lakes
Acid Bath - When The Kite String Pops or Pagan Terrorism Tactics (not that I consider them classics, I'd just like to see them reviewed)

Hell Awaits - Slayer
Horrorscope - Overkill
Balls To The Walls - Accept

The first two I guess are debatable as classics, but should at least be reviewed. The third is a classic without a doubt, at least to me
