My thoughts on Durutti:

Guys, if you want to be thrash, you need thrashy riffs, and more importantly, a little more variety! The same two riffs over and over for the first three minutes; both of them are okay (kinda pseudo-thrashy), but you play them way too much. Then you have that chugga chugga section which is just completely boring. Finally, at 3:23 the song picks up with a nice thrash break, and continues nicely into the solo before we go back into the verse/chorus. Meh. There's promise here, but you've gotta thrash it up a little. And just out of personal preference, never use chugga chugga riffs. Never.

Shifting the Sands... Now this is much better! I felt the urge to headbang right from the get go! Chorus is a bit weaker (well, I guess now its not a chorus), but right after it is a very nice riff... and then more riff variety! Another cool riff. The melodic section is okay (kinda feels out of place), as is the riff that follows it, and then a good solo, followed by more good riffage. Definitely a good song, and the thrash is much more overt here.

Anyway, good luck in the future. Keep the banner of thrash alive, kill poseurs, etc..

hey man thanks alot for your feedback! its really good to hear constructive criticism like that.

I have made a note of what you have said and i will be putting it to the boys to see what we can do about it if anything.

Personally i love the riff in Durutti but i understand where you come from with thwe playing it abit too much. also the chugga chugga riff we have already thought about changing and im glad people have said that!

Thanks man

Shifting the Sands is indeed a killer track!
