The statement wasn't meant to be hostile; sorry if it came across that way.

Well I have no idea what any of these band sound like is the thing. I tried finding a site for Sunn0)(**(& a while ago but there weren't any samples. :x It shouldn't be so suprising that I was taken aback by a band not having drums, I mean that IS pretty unusual. Maybe I will dig around some more, this concert report certainly made them sound interesting.

Hrmm the song they had at the link you gave me was titled "dylan" something or other. It consisted of heavily distorted chords played slowly over and over. I let this continue for a good four minutes. I almost wondered if it wasn't just playing a loop. No vocals or anything just these same few chords over and over. Well I may try and dig up a few other samples, but if that's all Sunnn0 ))*((*&^ is than I am not missing much.

You have to sit back and let it wash over you. It's not easy listening by any stretch of the imagination...

there exists less pointlessly dry doom.. maybe try their latest album which features BM influence, or Earth's recent work..

also Boris play the best sludge-drone ever conceived, in amongst dumb stoner stuff, noise projects and 70s style rock. just saying :D Khanate are another good sludge-drone thing that manages to stay the right side of music.
