Alot depends on what's playing the CDs too, and I agree that the crap earphones that generally come with a player won't do any media justice. I'm just in a spot now where I'm considering buying a travel speaker system to plug my MP3 player into, but the one I'm looking at is over $70 everywhere I look. The thought of spending that much on a speaker for MP3s just blows my mind, but at the same time, I want some damn speakers for it!
