Ian Gillian replacing Rod Evans. Rod was a good singer, but I don't think they would have been able to pull off In Rock and Machine Head without Ian. Even David Coverdale struggled with Ian's songs live.

Oooh... in the end. Bet you wouldn't be saying that if they were on an equal number of albums...

And although post-Max Sepultura isn't as good as pre, Derrick is still the better vocalist.

Gamma Ray went up a level when Kai took over the vocals. Not that Ralph isn't great, but it was like Kai just got his shit together and stopped experimenting when Land of the Free came out.

Uli Kusch is a much better drummer than Ingo. :ph34r:

Jon Greely replacing Gene Adam
