On my wmp, Sigh is labeled as "Black; Avant garde" and AinC is "Grunge; Alternative Metal" and Behemoth is labeled "Death" or "Black" or "Blackened Death" depending on the album. Why don't you just do that instead of pushing everything into 6 or so labels?
12 genres is enough, and because all the bands in thier respective genres have almost everything in common except trivial things that would mean I would need 30 if I considered those. Another thing is if 2 bands are only similar, there can be three other bands that link thier styles.
Different people hear different things in music, so it is no wonder there is much debate about genres.
