For what it's worth, I don't think there's anything wrong with live or demo bootlegs. The band aren't going to release it officially, are they?

this is good. it's strange how it only took the industry a year or two to realize that Copy Protection on CDs was retarded but DRM is still around. i'm gonna predict that this won't work because i don't see why anyone would use a P2P program that gives you DRM'd files over one that gives you DRM-free files.

I download almost every album I own. I've donated to bands and buy shirts, but quite frankly, I can barely afford to pay my rent and bills, let alone buy myself any extra joys like games or music. I have no credit card, no good metal music stores in town that I'm aware of, and when I buy a CD I immediately rip it to FLAC, put it on my computer, and then put the disc away forever, never to be seen again.

I'd rather be able to purchase a digital copy from a band online than buy a CD, and I really won't be buying CD's because of that fact. I just don't have anything reinforcing me to buy a lot of albums. In fact, I went to a record store and bought Incipit Satan by Gorgoroth and Impaled Nazarene's live album.

I ended up paying just under $50 for two albums I never even listened to fully.
