I'm going out to test drive these two this weekend. Just for grins I thought I would post the pictures and see what people thought of these guitars. Steinberger's are incredible instruments. The black one is the new Steinberger Demon (Synapse Series) and the blue one is the new Steinbeger ZT-3 Custom with TransTrem. The Demon goes for $999.00 and the ZT-3 is $1599.00. The thing on the neck of the Demon is a rolling Capo. You tune the guitar in a 'D' tuning and from there you can just roll the locking Capo anywhere for a new tuning.

I'm coming home with one of these on Saturday.

About a week ago I was able to play one of these little things

It was fantastic. I love those little things.

If I ever get the opportunity, I would so totally buy a traveller bass like that. I know Arif had one in the Sequoia Throne video.

Damn. These Steinbergers look great, especially the black one. But the lack of a headstock spoils what could have been a badass design.

Steinberg's look special, but they kick serious ass.. Have played both, and I must say I like that ZT-3 best

I played both today and they're absolute pieces of shit. Neither one of them measure up to my former late 80's Steinberger or my Parker NiteFly that I currently play.

What a waste of time today was.

I'm going to kick around in Guitar Center and Sam Ash today before the Ravens game to see what I can find.

I've decided that I'm putting new DiMarzio pick ups in my Parker. I think I'll just keep playing my Parker and my Hamer for the foreseeable future. I am going to stay on the look out for any used Steinberger Newburgh models.

I've got an H-S-S configuration, so I was thinking of going with a Tone Zone in my bridge position and two Pro Track DP188's for my middle and neck pickups. The guitar is black and I was thinking of going with purple pickups.

Sounds different....literally

oh yeah.. The tonezone is so awesome... I had an old DiMarzio from way back in 78 on my earlier guitar. You have no idea how sick the sound was.
