Hmmmm.

I can't seem to make the Bass loud enough the way everyone wants it without that kick drum getting ridiculous and boomy, but for what it's worth, this is what the bass sounds like if you haven't heard it:

FLAC: http://www.mediafire.com/?gcacgu1jhu2tp12

MP3: http://www.mediafire.com/?wkiyb703ooperke

The bass is there, but Jasons playing was really sparse on this song at least and pretty much followed the guitars and drums. If I have a complaint about the album now, is that Jason wasn't even needed. James could have doubled his guitar parts on bass, it seems and it would have been pretty much the same. You really can't hear any of those low sustained notes on the original recording.

Classic album with outstanding production nonetheless. Maybe they did the right thing burying Jason considering his parts would have been a distraction?

(note: the samples are not a finished "mastering" by any stretch)

Does anybody have the tracks with Newsted up in the mix? It was called like Jason For All or something?

That is what I am attempting to do the hard way.

It was a bootleg called "Justice for Jason."

I had access to dozens of redbook Met boots at one time , I wasn't smart enough to burn copies though...wish I had. No one has any of that piles of Rarities CD's or the JFJ album anywhere in FLAC/WAV.

I actually don't really like the production on that album.

The kick drum tone almost killed that album. Not a good production work at all.

In my opinion there are two major issues with that album:

1. Production - too muddy, snare drum terrible.
2. Overlong, repetitive songs - really most of them should've been 4 minutes long.
