Evans' distinguished Trio in colourful Finland.

Evans, and his most capable accompaniment, here display an invaluable display of cohesive musicianship, and delicate construction of compositions, joined into Evans' canonical artistic taste, for atonality, and tonality, for breaks, and continuities, and for melodies and rhythms, that, at times, give the sensation of the piano playing itself. Rather than, the piano being played out by a musician, this feeling of high intimacy, with his instrument, Evans reveals, his unity with his tunes. The sound quality is pristine, and the performance by others of the Trio of which on this release are numerous and varied with the central ones being: Marty Morrell (drums), Chuck Isaraels (bass). The rest of Trio is superb, too.

A returning to releases which I was engaged with some two months ago or so.

Very little playing time from what is a release from an artist I had only been exposed in the past few months, that is the brother drummer, distinct from the saxophonist brother, the three Heath brothers.

Pink Floyd's performance on this release, not only cemented, their legacy as a definitive standard for progressive rock, a kind progressive rock, that was not one which, Yes, or King Crimson, or Gentle Giant, were creating, but a progressive rock, that was wholly humane, and pure spirit, but with great abilities, at play. Pink Floyd's legendary status, with recordings such as Meddle and songs, such as Echoes, in two parts, on this live release, is remixed, and remastered, by Steven Wilson, with a kind of wizardry, and mastery, that only Wilson, is able to accomplish, the live album here is, rich and full in sound, just as an LP would be. The band's performance is comparable, with a live performance, by The Beatles, with a psychedelia, and a soothingness, a kind cosmological moodiness, a flight of fantasy, that never ever were created once more, or can be regenerated, by any existing band, today.

A gentile rhetorician with his axe, a marvelous executioner of solemn and often caressing melodies, a constructer of souls and dominions of lights and the most exhilarating shadows, Wes Montgomery. His most valued accompaniment, shine equally bright.

Shall be spending some quality time with this release.
