If it's any indication, I have seen Grave in 1991 or 1992 and they were pretty good.

I will have to give them a proper listen tonight when I get home. They are old, so that's a good start.

So my bad, Grave is playing with Morbid Angel next month. Playing with Obituary is Encrust, Jungle Rot, Decrepit Birth, and billed as the return of the Chicago legends Broken Hope. Never heard of them, are they of legend status?

Never heard of them either. Probably a legend in their neighborhood.

Edit:
Notable for being the first death metal band to record a full-length album (Swamped in Gore) in digital from start to finish.
(maybe that's why)

Swallow the Sun, Accept and Kreator last night. My ears are ringing like fuck, my head is pounding, my back aches, and it was awesome. My brothers first concert. He didn't know what we were doing until we got there. Fuckin KREATOR!

Set list:
Mars Mantra/Phantom Antichrist
Flood to Fire
Enemy of God
Phobia
Hordes of Chaos
Civilization Collapse
Voices of the Dead
Extreme Aggression
People of the Lie
Death to the World
Endless Pain (seriously!!)
Pleasure to Kill
Violent Revolution
Betrayer
Flag of Hate
Tormentor

I have this feeling like every Kreator show should end with Under the Guillotine. That seems like the song that should close out their shows (let alone not get played at all!)

So idk if this is upcoming shows but I'm new here so....

This past Saturday I saw royal thunder , backwoods payback , and pallbearer.

This past Tuesday I saw cormorant, while heaven wept, and f'ing PRIMORDIAL.

I still can't speak. My throat is shot out. I should be in a neck brace. What a show. Primordial are truly amazing live and to see them in such a small bar was awesome. Alan Averill was right in my face the whole show. I was like 6 inches from him the whole time. I'm fanboy. I'll stop ranting now.

I was thinking the same but with Awakening of the Gods.

I also forgot to add that my brother got an Accept drum stick. Not bad. His first show and he gets a stick, I've been to countless and have yet to get one. Several picks though.

Just bought a ticket to see Pig Destroyer in just over a month in Baltimore. Baltimore is too far to drive for most other concerts, but the Pig Destroyer record release show on a Friday night. Shit is going to be sick.

Would be curious to know if either band plays anything from the 90s.

I doubt it highly.

Me too, at least regarding Katatonia, but hey, Discouraged Ones was from the 90s.

I'd be happy if they play for my demons from tonight's decision. Paradise Lost I'm happy no matter what they play. Honestly I checked out stolen babies on YouTube and they are different to say the least and devin Townsend I have never listened to.

Stolen Babies are fun, if not great. Devin Townsend, though, I can't imagine him not blowing you away. His music is a treat.

I've been told that I'm in store for something special. I gotta order some of syl and his solo stuff. I haven't gotten around to it yet though.

Everyone will have different suggestions, but if I was going to start off with Devy, I'd get SYL's City, Devin Townsend Band's Accelerated Evolution and Devin Townsend Project's Addicted. That covers the whole gamut of sounds, some would recommend Ocean Machine, but it never hooked me albeit great as well. Ziltoid, Ki and Ghost (if you're into ambient music) would be solid suggestions as well. In case you wanted suggestions...

Thanks man. Suggestions are always welcome. I'll start with those.
