That summarizes LoG's whole career.

True that. Still, I prefer Randy Blythe's vocals to that of Anselmo.

Anselmo > Blythe

Pantera > Lamb Of God

Anselmo > Blythe

Pantera > Lamb Of God

Blythe > Anselmo

Lamb Of God = Pantera

(yeah, I know... I never liked Pantera anyway...)

I always found Pantera boring. LoG, on the other hand, kick serious ass, and the riffing is badass.

Pantera is boring after you're done with puberty but they are better at what LoG attempts to do.

For me, Lamb Of God peaked at Ruin. Pantera have never come close to that.

I don't really like Pantera. They just bore me.

Lamb Of God can really write good riffs, but my #1 problem with them is that there is vitrually no variety whatsoever. Most of their music sounds the same, and their music isn't engaging enough to keep me interested through that painful lack of variety.

That I agree on.
LoG really should expand their sound and include new elements so to interest people a little longer than the amount of time necessary to say "Wow! Killer riff!"...

They do so a tiny bit on Wrath. For example the singer has begun doing that melodic/distorted thing that Friden does all the time.

There are some acoustic guitar bits here and there as well. They are a "killer riff" and awesome drumming band and I don't think it would be such a good idea to change it that much. I like them for what they are.

Not that I'm an expert, but is the drumming that good? Listening to Wrath, I had a mental image of Neil Peart laughing his ass off.

He does some interesting stuff. Very varied and unique. It's not like he's Flo or something but as far as popular bands go he is one of the best.

There's a new Ava Inferi coming out. Their 2007s release was great gothic/doom metal with unannoying female vocals. I should check their new one. It's called Blood of Bacchus and will be released in April and Kristoffer Rygg (ULVER) guests on it! wOOt! :dio:

I guess this can go here. The new Anthrax singer live:

He looks like Phil Anselmo and the guy from Saliva.

Great band pic!

Image
Awesome album cover!

And the band members' names :
Lord Phallus - Guitar, Vocals
Bane Ass-Pounder - Guitar
King Sith - Bass
Braindeath - Drums
Loki Sinjuggler - Keyboards

What surprises me is the band is tagged "Doom/Drone Rock/Metal" on MA.
I should check them out.

I like his singing, it's thrash-ier than the "original" studio "version"
