Ahh man do yourself a favor and listen to Doomsday for the Deceiver. Flotsam & Jetsam will be sick! Their newer material is pretty shit, but I'm sure they'll rock out lots of old tunes. I'm fuckin pumped, I so hope they come here.

What's the album with the samurai about to perform harakiri? That one was solid.

No Place for Disgrace, which is basically a continuation of Doomsday.

What the fuck is up with Cincy folk posting now that I don't live there? Meshuggah and Intronaut are also playing at Bogart's some time around that time.

You bet your fucking arse I am!

I went to see him on the Grinderman 2 tour, and it was in the top 5 shows I've ever seen. Keep in mind I've seen Roger Waters 4 times, so that's pretty amazing.

I'm so glad I saw it, too, because he said he's officially disbanding Grinderman, so I may never get another chance.

But anyway, yeah, buying the shit out of a ticket to this.

Jealous. This is the first time I've been anywhere near him performing so totally stoked even if tickets will be outrageous. It's also set to be in a music hall and not a concert venue so I don't know what to do with that. The most expensive tickets are only $75 so I might just be ridiculous and go with one of those.

Man, I've said it before in this thread and I'll say it again, you guys are so lucky with ticket prices.

$75 here is totally normal. As in, for general admission. VIP tickets can not be gotten at that price. And our dollar is worth more than yours, godamnit. It didn't really piss me off until I found out what American audiences pay.

I don't know at what meeting that people of Australia decided it was ok for ticket prices to cost this much, but I wish I'd been there to vote on that shit.

I haven't spent more than $15 for a non-festival or non-Metallica ticket in so long. Pig Destroyer was $15, maybe $18 if my memory is hazy.

A relatively underground band like PD would cost around $50 here, minimum. Possibly more since they're on Relapse.

It cost me $50 to see Nasum, with three support acts.

I had seats in the second row for Nick Cave then ticketmaster's site fucked up and said it couldn't access the page and so I ended up with seats in the twelfth row way off center.

I got my tickets to Nick Cave this morning.

General Admission. Guess how much they cost me. Just guess.

(Hint: more than the most expensive tickets from the show you're going to. GA, remember.)

guess it wouldn't be fair for me to guess? you know since I know what our crazy-high ticket prices are like?

cost alone is enough to keep me out of most shows, well that and no one ever comes to fucking Adelaide

90? ha you're lucky mate, that's about average for general admission here, I paid nearly five hundred for my two Metallica tickets (one was a birthday present for my then girlfriend but we broke up well before the concert leaving me in the awkward position of having to find someone else to go with)

It was $105.60. With the booking fee, a ticket for me and the girlfriend was $215.something.

So uncool. Now that I know what other audiences around the world pay, I'm going to boycott every show that isn't an absolute must see. Unfortunately Nick Cave is exactly that....
