Ah, the only grunge band I could never get into.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm very impartial towards Nirvana. In other words, I don't really like or dislike them. They are, however, probably my least favorite of the Big Four grunge bands (ironic, huh?).

I've heard a couple of decent tracks from Bleach. They're still a poor man's Melvins, even if Kurt being friends with them doesn make me have more respect for him...

Bleach is a good album. The rest is meh. Soundgarden is the ultimate band from early 90s Seattle.

I prefer Alice In Chains. I felt that they actually possessed substance unlike Nirvana. Bleh.

Facelift does kick ass. But out of the big grunge bands my favorite was always Stone temple pilots.

Im very hit or miss with Nirvana. Since I have stuff by The melvins, The pixies, and Mudhoney, I don't see much point in digging out the nirvana. My favorite album by is bleach though.

Nirvana fucking sucks, and anyone that wants to argue that sucks as well. I had to deal with kids in highschool telling me I listened to complete shit ( IE anything metal ) and were like " THEY WISH THEY HAD THE TALENT OF COBAIN "

Only grunge I can stand is AIC. They're actually a very solid band.

I heard a couple STP songs and liked them. May be I'll pick up either Core or Purple some day.

Nirvana's accoustic album is pretty much amazing. I'm kinda biased though since I've been listening to them since I was 11. I don't really see the comparison to The Melvins >.>

Also I think there's very few guitarists/singers who can do as much songwriting/emotion-wise as Kurt Cobain did with as little talent as he had :P

Methinks if Cobain weren't dead, he wouldn't be so overrated.

That's kind say, since you can't know what kind of music Nirvana would have made if Kurt hadn't died.

I don't think they would've progressed that far. Or at all, even.

Unless they were making plans on turning into technical melodic death metal chances are I wouldn't care what they'd have evolved to. :P

The fact that he no talent whatsoever on guitar, the fact that he made what could be considered music at all is pretty impressive.

STP Core is an awesome album. AiC's Dirt is what I would consider their best. And Pearl Jam Ten is one of my favorite albums no matter how goofy and liberal Vedder is.

I dunno if I can trust a guy who says " This album is not to be fucked with " What sort of description is that for an album.

" Yes man, you will dig this one. It is not to be fucked with. "

Just doesn't work.

He has it all wrong. Cause Of Death and Altars Of Madness are not to be fucked with. This album... well... you can fuck with it and not expect anything bad to happen, really. It won't be legendary.

So enjoy your new drink coaster.
