This is very enjoyable - definitely a step up in songwriting from the (loveable) mess that was the self-titled album. Not as good as Tara of course, but they're getting there.

A step up from the s/t? I love that album more than Tara. It was amazing. Idk why you see it as a mess...

Excellent choices.

The new Anubis Gate sounds quite good so far, and the new vocalist isn't bad, just missing Hansen's unique style.

I like the s/t album for what it is, but i get the feeling that I should like it more than I actually do. I always ended up turning it off halfway through... the songs would start to blend into one another and failed to hold my attention to the point where the album would just become annoying, buzzsaw-esque background noise. Not so with the new album though; the songs are varied and keep me interested and at the end I'm left wanting more (in a good way). I'm intrigued to hear your take on it once it's out, as you obviously like their last album much more than I do.

Esoteric's music is an outstanding experience into mystical imaginary places filled platonic forms and mythological deeply spiritual meanings. It fills the soul with beyond good and evil.

I highly suggest you only smoke weed while listening to Esoteric. It's a slippery slope for Esoteric's music to become a BAD trip on mushrooms. Not recommended, dear Alex (or it could be epiphanies into Theosophical knowledge). Read quotes on H.P. Blavatsky or look up Theosophy.
