I can't think of any bands off the top of my head who's music I like but who's overly lyrical nature actually ruins the music for me.

Similar to what Bruce said about Dani's horrid vocals (though I just generally don't like CoF so might be biased there), I think that bad/unsuitable vocals ruin music more for me than the lyrics.

Same with Byron of Bal-Sagoth.


Meh, I dunno about Byron's lyrics. I think his lyrics actually fit Bal-Sagoth's music really well. Couldn't imagine them not being that way.
