What's a good place to start with Glassjaw? I've been interested in them for a while now.

All I've really heard is the new EP Coloring Book, but it's rly good. They also just put out another EP which is also supposed to be good, but I haven't heard it. Before these, I don't think they had released anything since like 2002.

But anyways, here's a song from Coloring Book, with a download link for the EP in the description box. It worked for me when I tried it a few days ago:

The first part of that song reminds me of Bjork. Most of their stuff is interesting reggae-ish post-hordcore, though...really interesting.

Add the Cavalera Conspiracy album to my list. Most consistent album Max has put out in a long time.

Of the albums I have heard thus far, I am leaning towards:

Leaves Eyes: Moredead - This album just fulfills all the promise they have shown since Liv departed TOT. Less pop, more fully fleshed out and realized compositions.

Samael: Lux Mundi - Fanboying aside, I still have this one on constant rotation. A great blend of all things Samael.

There is certainly more out there I havent heard yet, these are just the ones that stick out in my mind right now.

Burzum - Fallen
Assaulter - Boundless
Pentagram - Last Rites
Cauldron - Burning Fortune
Sabbat - Sabattrinity
Blaspherian - Infernal Warriors of Death
Wolf - Legions Of Bastards

It is solid Wolf. Better than Ravenous which never hooked me.

Well thats good news. I loved Ravenous, but glad to know this will be up there. Hail Caesar has been stuck in my head ever since I heard it.

The Middle East's I Want That You Are Always Happy is making my skin tingle and my heart flutter on a regular basis the last two weeks.

So, Blunt Force Trauma is definitely my #2 album of the year so far, behind the new PTH. I can't stop listening to it. All of the songs are awesome.

Memphis May Fire's The Hollow is incredible for it's genre.

Other 2011 albums I've enjoyed:
Benighted's Asylum Cave
Hell's Human Remains
Born of Osiris
Havok - Time Is Up (Kicks serious ass!!! A must-hear for every thrasher)
And I will probably get some shit of this, but I love Emmure's Speaker of the Dead - Just fun stuff, even though it's simple.
Medeia - Abandon All is just awesome. If you've never heard of them just listen to a song called The Ultimate Disconnect From Humanity on youtube. Amazing stuff.

Acoustic folk from Australia! Their first album had a little bit of Sigur Ros kinda stuff but imo they are better making catchy and gorgeous songs like these:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68DANp3e7v4 from new one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYfWgCXByJ4 also new one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXaczP4-VTE best song from first one

The new Amorphis is pretty kickass. Slightly better than Skyforger in my opinion.
