Two songs that make me emotional are Ark of Space by Bruce Dickinson, and Lost by Beseech.

The only movie that has ever made me cry like a baby is this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Night_The_Moon . It is the saddest, yet simplest short film I have ever seen. I recommend it to anyone who wants an insight into Australian racial problems.

X Japan has a few songs that makes me cry like a girl(almost :D ). "Forever Love" and "Tears" for example. And the whole "Last Live" album really makes me sad.

A question of Heaven - Iced Earth: when I first heard the song, and specifically the part, 'My spirt begins to rise.." I just about lost it. Only because, when I first heard the song, I thought it meant that he was accepted into heaven. I was disappointed a few seconds later though, when he was banished into hell. Still a great song.

The Storm Still Rages Inside - Orpahaned Land: The ending to that song effects me pretty good.

As for movies, I'm an animal lover, and "Born Free" makes me all emotional. The movie isn't all that great, but the ending made me cry...goddamit!

I cried when Apollo Creed died in Rocky IV. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Music doesn't make me cry. Probably because I'm all dead inside

Virgin Steele's Invictus (the song) almost makes me cry for power.

Just watched Gladiator again, so Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard's last few songs on that can get me going. This includes: Now We Are Free, Elysium, and Honor Him.
They get me every time.

That song has the power to make a person like me conquer an empire, but I work out to it instead.

Music never makes me cry, but I cry in films all the time. Anything with kids reunited with their parents at last, any Lisa Gerrard-style epic stuff. Shit, even the whale doing that jump over the kid at the end of Free Willy sets me off.

Hmm, let's see... Well, some X Japan songs make me cry, I cried at the piano part in Art of Life when I first listened through it. Heavenly - Dust to Dust is sad, especially if you've really been following the lyrics. I also love Ben's voice on that one. Kamelot - Wander is also darn beautiful. I would probably cry at the chorus if I happened to be in a sad mood.

Then there are two films I've cried to: The Lion King and A Beautiful Mind, the latter being one of my favorite films.

Never cried from a song, but one song did get to me a couple years ago. I was having problems with my parents and I put on some music, Bad Child by Annihilator came on and I got goosebumps.

A Question Of Heaven as mentioned earlier is indeed a really powerful song. Besides that one, Angelica, Are You There?, "Anyone, Anywhere" and Make It Right by Anathema are moving. And A Smart Kid, Heartattack In A Layby and Collapse The Light Into Earth by Porcupine Tree. Pain by Blackfield is another one. I Remember You by Skid Row. Harvest by Opeth, not because it's really that sad, but because it's a damn beautiful song. I Don't Believe In Love by Queensrÿche, it really fit my mood in a certain situation a couple of years ago. A Script For A Jester's Tear by Marillion, the lyrics are incredible.

There's plenty, but I don't wanna seem like a total pussy, so I'll stop now

EDIT: Fuck, I forgot about Space Dye Vest by Dream Theater. And The Spirit Carries On. I can't believe I forgot those two.

Space-Dye Vest-- hell yes. The Spirit Carries On gives me chills more than tears, but Disappear gets me every time.

The Spirit Carries On is indeed a goosebump song. It's strange how it carries such a wide range of emotions, it's both sad and hopeful at the same time. I'm still sad they wouldn't play that one live when I saw them a year ago

I've only heard Disappear a few times, so I can't recall much about it. I think I'll have to dig deeper into the Six Degrees album sometimes. It's good, but it never really clicked with me. I haven't listened to it in a while now though..

Yeah, I really wanna see them play that live. They did The Spirit Carries On incredible justice on the Score DVD, though. :dio:

And everyone keeps saying how great the 2nd disc of SDOIT is, but the 1st kinda gets overlooked. When they mention the 1st disc, usually the only thing they mention is The Glass Prison, but I really like both discs equally. The 1st disc is more mellow and tougher to get into. Disappear is my favorite track on it.

I have to get that DVD, methinks. Been wanting to get one by Dream Theater for a while now and I've heard words that Score is their finest DVD recording yet. And if it could cure some of my disappointment about not getting to see The Spirit Carries On that night, it would most definetly be worth it. :)

Yeah, I should prolly listen to SDOIT again, especially since my love for Dream Theater and mellow stuff has grown since I listened to it the last time..

Oh man, the first disc is killer, the second disc is good but nothing compared to the first one. Personally Disappear is my least favourite song on the first disc.
