I've never felt guilty for liking something. After all, the only criterion music should be judged by, is whether you personally like it or not. And taste can not be right or wrong.

Despite my general distaste for melo-death and the sharp rhetoric I have somethimes used on the subject, I sorta like the new Amon Amarth.

I don't really feel guilty for listening to some music that i like but i probably should lol, especially when talking to metal heads  . I like Wham, Ah Ha, Phill Collins, Kenny Loggins and Rod stewart. Stuff like Mlyo, Sash and 2 unlimited should make me feel guilty or at least embarrassed but don't lol. Oh an i really like that new Lily Allen song LDN. Love Drum 'N Bass and Psytrance, also stuff like Madness and Less Then Jake. Oh, and i can't forget traditional folk music, that stuff kicks arse :dio:

+ Hinder and My Chemical Romance.

EDIT: To clarify...not that I actually feel ashamed for liking them and try to hide that fact from my friends and such - these bands are just examples of ones I shouldn't like due to their being similar to bands I fucking hate with a passion. MCR sounds like Blink 182, Hinder like Nickelstaind and as for Bullet For My Valentine...I dunno, Killswitch Engage meets In Flames meets Green Day? No idea why I find them so enjoyable, but nonetheless, "Tears Don't Fall" ended up my very favorite song of last year.

If these are guilty pleasures then the list is long:

Green Day
Alkaline Trio
Old Offspring
The Killers
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Old Korn
Less Than Jake
The Prodigy
(Some) Seether
Nirvana

I don't see a problem with someone liking anything, I just hate it when people like something and then try and pretend it's something else in order to save face. I.e. trying to pass off Green Day or The Offspring as Punk or pretending that nu-metal is anything but. If you like it then fucken listen to it, you don't need to justify it.

Aqua

Bahahhaha I own their debut album :P I can't have been older than 10 when I bought it, though.

Bullet For My Valentine

I have only heard their singles, but it sounded like above average metalcore in my ears.

I own an album by Enya and I'm listening to it as I write this. I also listen to some other New Age/whatever stuff such as Lisa Gerrard and Loreena McKennit, even though I find it hard to sit through a whole album of that kind of music. I also like Green Day, RHCP and The Offspring has been one of my favorite bands for years despite the fact that their latest album was a huge let-down. I listen to some folk music too, especially irish folk music. Irish folk music kicks all kinds of ass!

I still like stuff that I liked back when I was a kid in the 80s, so I still enjoy some Madonna, U2, A-ha, Roxette ... It's fun listening to them, brings me back memories from the childhood.

Last year or whenever it was I had a soft spot for Lee Ryan's Turn Your Car Around song.

Coheed ad Cambria (big one)
Jurassic 5
Aesop Rock
Mudvayne
Red Hot Chili Peppers
And I'm not too familiar with the genre itself, but lots of bluegrass songs that I have heard I really liked. They shred just as hard as metal guitarists, just on a banjo. :dio:

I generally try to not be embarassed about what I listen to, but I'll make an exception if it's Korn. Dunno why I like them but I just do.

Other than that, I'm coo' wit it.

I think nearly 99% of metalheads dig the Peppers and we're not embarassed bout it.

I think I better say that the Chilli Peppers are one of the worst bands ever, just so I don't get lumped in with that statement. Although going for 25 years without writing one classic song is an almost commendable achievement.

I just realised Girls Aloud are the mothers of the guilty pleasure.

I love their earlier Chilli Peppers stuff (well, a small amount of it, actually). However, I find the form they have taken over the last couple of albums absolutely dreadful.
