I forgot about Coheed and Cambria...they're probably my favorite mainstream band. I wasn't really thinking of Rush and Pink Floyd as mainstream, but I like them as well...

Ah, the ususal suspects like AiC, Soundgarden, TOOL, Type O Negative, a lot old Classic Rock(Cream, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, AC/DC, etc.), Stevie Ray Vaughn is awesome times 1,000.

And, noodles, I guess the Mars Volta would be considered mainstream now, MTV found out who they are.

I was a huge fan of Michael Jackson. I also used to like Duran Duran. But lost track of them ages ago. Among my fav bands, the only one that acheived major commercial success is Iron Maiden.

I like Avenged Sevenfold. Yeah! They can play their instruments like a mother and I don't care if they're fags.

Jesus Christ, I like Kelly Clarkson too!! She's definitely METAAAALL!! Haha.

I love Iron Maiden, Megadeth, RHCP, and the Offspring.
Whenever her first CD came out, Jeff Loomis revealed in a GuitarWorld interview that he was listening to it on their Gigantour (?). That actually seems to be pretty common. When I talked to James Malone the last time I went to an Arsis show, he listens to pop on the road more than anything else. Which makes him even metaller than before! :dio:

Damn, she must have some influence on metal, lol. I've got a friend who bashes me for listening to Kelly, and he's a big fan of Jeff. It's payback time now I guess.

I got accosted by members of a Death Cab for Cutie street team (4-5 people) one day last year on the Penn State University campus. They told me to go to the upcoming show and when I told them I had never heard of DCfC they condescendingly insisted again that I see the show. Then I walked away and I could overhear them making fun of me. Very bizarre experience---and very rude people.

It's funny what some metal bands listen to, all of the members of The Dillinger Escape Plan like relaxing pop music :P
