Iron Maiden has some of the best metal records out there,
but their disocraphy is pretty uneven(thier 90's material)
So I wouldn't vouch for them as they have released bad albums.

Aside from a few of the bands there not hving released enough albums to qualify, am I really the only person in the world who thinks that Emperor after Anthems are a completely different, ie worse, band? IX was their Reinkaos, imho.

wtf IX has 'elegy of icaros' and 'warriors of modern death'. All of the other songs are quality tracks. I can't defend Prometheus, though, you either love or hate its avant-garde artsiness.

It's those bloody dreadful clean vocals that put me off IX. That, and it's so inferior to Anthems. If it was any other band, it'd be very good. For Emperor, it's the moment you realise that they're not gods, after all.
