He is, I just hope we get (a bit) less saxophone this time. Tiny request.

I would actually be fine with more saxophone. :P

+1

+1.

What's wrong with sax? On the Shores is my fav track from After, and it's heavy on sax.

Nothing in particular is wrong with it, I'd just rather see some other instruments as well. Why not oboe, or brass, for examples?

Oboe would be incredible, especially for a mellow tune.

June 12. New single, April 19th.

Lyrically, "Clockwork Angels" chronicles a young man's quest across a lavish and colorful world of steampunk and alchemy as he attempts to follow his dreams. The story features lost cities, pirates, anarchists, an exotic carnival, and a rigid Watchmaker who imposes precision on every aspect of daily life. The novelization of "Clockwork Angels" is being written by science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson in collaboration with RUSH drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.

!!!!!

Bit meh'ed out at the artwork, but it's not like Rush album art is generally spectacular...

I actually think that cover is fantastic. Simple, original, and eye catching.

I hate it but I don't care since what matters is the music.
Can't wait!

Haha! When you put it like that, then yeah..... But it's not my fault he has more releases in 10 years than most bands have in their lifetime. Still, I can wait for it.....Oh yes, I can wait for it.......precious........

Nicely epic trailer for the new Fear Factory. Looks (and sounds) promising!

Clip of a new song linked there, sounds solid enough...

What kills me is how he just never stop writing, and works on all of these projects in the same time frame. The Devin Townsend Project was ambitious as hell, and now he has three albums in the works at the same time a year after he released two. Just a songwriting machine, he is a Canadian National Treasure.

I've not heard otherwise, hope so! And indeed, god, those Demanufacture-esque kickdrums, those lovely industrial clinks, the kind of Obsolete 2012 vibe? Fuck the fuck yes.
