I know it's a classic and everything .. but damn there are some bad solos on there.

I already have the original recording, of course. This is a limited edition boxset which I am very pleased to purchase (5CD'S/1DVD).

So far, I think it is not as exciting as the 95/100 score led me to believe, waiting for it to grow on me. The Black Sabbath cover was done well.

Gorgoroth-Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam
Dimmu Borgir-For al tid

The Gorgoroth album was a blind purchase, and not a good one at that the album is incredibly weak. 3/10 and the Dimmu isn't much to write home about either.

I think that Gorgoroth album has its moments - Wound Upon Wound always manages to get stuck in my head, for instance. Not heard For Al Tid in a long long time.

I had to give it a comprehensive review and I wasn't pleased, a 15 is far more than generous after hearing the blatant plagiarism on that album. Needless to say good thing I kept the album sealed, I will be trading it for something decent as after having heard it I dont want it in my collection. God Seed was decent and the moments where they ripped off Funeral Procession were good as well, but the album is a piece of shit.

Fantastic record. I'm a huge Insomnium fan and I was a bit disappointed at first but then it grew on me. Very layered, melancholic and meaningful Death Metal. Atmospheric at its best.

So far I like it very much and i've also ordered "Above the weeping world"
their albums are pretty hard to come by here in Canada. Eventually I'd like to go through all of their back catalog.

Have you heard their new single for their upcoming new album ? It features Mikael Stanne and it's pretty damn good.

You should buy all their albums. It's nothing but excellent metal. Yes I have heard their single. It's very good. You can find their stuff at Amazon.com or .ca. Sometimes .ca has a better price and sometimes it's the other way.
