According to Nocturno Culto, Darkthrone'll have another new one out this year. It'll be titled Dark Thrones and Black Flags apparently.

Funnily enough, the man himself said there'll be no punk influence on this one.

Bah. Is it at least better than the boring turd that was the debut?

New Mercenary and Machinae Supremacy is on their way out... Should be good times.

Don't remember if those were mentioned or not but they should be enjoyable.

Don't be a wang. Tenth Sub Level Of Suicide was the shit compared to Tentacles Of Whorror.

Dago; is it more of the same, or did Wrest inject even more atomsphere/freakery?

The album is good though not as good as the last two. If I was to score it now i'd give it an 80. There are some mid-paced melodic songs like Embrace The Nothing and Isolation reminding me of THTR and some very brutal ones like Bloodsong, This Black And Endless Never and Execution Style like on 11 Dreams and Everblack. The ones that bring the score down are those that sound like a 3rd rate melodic death, mainly the last two songs. It's the first time with a Mercenary album that I thought there is filler. Still it's 8 out of 10. :dio:

Pyro is correct. I gave the album a spin yesterday. It's a good album, but not a great one. I'd probably rate it around there myself. Worth buying for sure though.

The new Machinae is awesome too... I need to give it some more spins though.

Some info about Ihsahn's new album:
Quote:
Vocalist/guitarist IHSAHN (ex-EMPEROR) will see his new solo album, angL (artwork pictured), released through Mnemosyne Productions/Candlelight Records on May 27th in North America.

Ihsahn recently announced that OPETH frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt has performed lead vocals for the song 'Unhealer' from the forthcoming album.

Ihsahn commented about the collaboration: "We´ve been talking about doing something for a while and I´m really happy it finally came together. Needless to say, Mikael´s performance is nothing short of amazing!"

Asgeir Mickelson and Lars Norberg (SPIRAL ARCHITECT) will be handling drum and bass duties, respectively. Added Ihsahn, "Asgeir and Lars have delivered a rock-solid foundation for the whole album. Pounding blast-beats to slow fretless passages are all performed with great precision".

Communic's new cover is really bad...but they're a cool band. I'll have to get something from them.
