I wouldn't say he's not cool, he has definitely revolutionized he's lifestyle. I'm not too sure if he's a national treasure but he's definitely "talented," so to speak.

I'm glad Devin's held back the layers of sound lately (at least on Ki, Ghost and somewhat Addicted). Hope it's a trend that continues.

Ki was the best of the "new era" because it was the only really surprising of the lot. I still miss the sense of humour of Infinity or the grandeur of Ocean Machine, though.

I really liked the "chilling" sound on Ki. I didn't like Addicted at all! Too Pop-ish for my taste. I liked Ocean Machine, although, have not had the desire to play it in a very, very long time. There is no doubt in my mind that his music is groundbreaking. It can go over the top, nevertheless.
