I always thought Zad and Christ had something in common! It has now become all too vivid!

Anyone seen the second part of the "One Man" documentary on Black Metal?

Heh, I suppose. I'm not known for my culinary skills or hanging round prostitutes, mind...

Rather than making the wine appear, you make it disappear! OH!

If the recent trend in my music tastes is any indication, I could see myself listening only to music with no electric instruments in 2-3 years. not very metal

I was sorta excited about the possibility of Ben Weinman collaborating with Kimbra. Then I heard what Kimbra sounded like on this video with the man, Weinman, making a cameo and yeah, it's not worthwhile in the slightest.

It is metal though, because you are listening to what you want instead of what someone else decided was good for you. Like Ritchie Blackmore.

I tried to about a year ago. I was looking for depressing music and he kept popping up so I gave it a shot. I personally wasn't feeling it but a lot of people really like it soooo...

Give it a try. The smiths-Hatful of hollow is supposed to be good. The main single oFf of it is "how soon is now" it's a good song. I never gave the rest of it a good shot though.

Btw morrisey is the singer for the smiths just in case you were unaware.

In my opinion he is but I can understand why someone would hate him. His mix of sweet melodies and his self-pity and arrogance is what I like about him, his witty lyrics being the icing on the cake.

Try out You Are the Quarry, in my opinion it's his best. The live album, Live at Earls Court is also highly recommended. It's basically a live greatest hits album featuring the best songs of his entire solo career. If neither of those tickle your fancy then don't bother.

Yeah, liked You Are The Quarry when it came out, but never really went further. Never a Smiths fan either.

Yeah it's a good song. I like it as well.

Edit: the video (if I remember right) is kinda cool too.

It's hard to judge since he's just there to blast a guitar solo. I hadn't thought of the idea of them actually collaborating but that could be pretty cool.

But that's the thing, I guess I shouldn't assume that them collaborating would be reduced to just him on guitar. The dude is kinda a genius...

I like The Smiths, but I've never dug into Morrissey's solo stuff.

So did Orden Ogan get a new guitarist or something? Their new album has some absolute killer solos. Really awesome. Album is so-so with some really great tracks and some mediocre ones. Review coming.
