What is it about the nature of time that induces such different perceptions of this timeless release, then, and now? And what is it about 80's Maiden that never, ever, outstays its welcome? And what is it about 80's Maiden, that you can never, ever, forget about, and how is it, that Maiden's music which stays fresh in one's memory, even after longer durations of time of not hearing it, at all, leaves such a potently lasting impression, on one's psyche? Answer these questions, and we'd have the essence of music unveiled, with its naked truth. But then, we wouldn't have any good music in the first place, would we?

Every single time I hear this recording, I ask myself, how can something be so bloody heavy, yet so stunningly brilliant? To this date, I wonder, yet without a satisfying answer, which would fulfill the posed inquiry.

And who said we need public educators, when we have 6 highly acclaimed professors, in a highly prestigious university, who edify you, for free of charge, through practical musicality?

I have always found this recording to be one of Maiden's most melodic albums, alongside with Somewhere Back In Time. Still the case, and yes still, the greatest intensity of musical joy, is to be found in the music here.
