A recording of an experiential nature and a release that never stops giving.

The abrupt shift to this alternative style certainly shocked and confused the faithful at the time, but I've warmed up to it little by little as the years have rolled on. It's far from perfect and there are some serious missteps, but there is plenty of wheat nestled amongst the chaff. I can't say the same for Reload though. Still doesn't do anything for me.

That's understandable, yes. However, it does do a great deal for me. Both releases, if not a bit overly long and unedited. The production on both releases are superb and the melodies and the attitude is bluesy and oozing with old-fashioned charm. That's what I like about it so much. I do not look to the fact that they were a very different band a few years, or who they were a decade, or so ago. That does not matter to me one bit. Who they were then, and who they are today.
