Another zinger from Toby Driver.

I'd never heard of Kayo Dot but I just listened to this for about ten minutes. It's beautiful.

Get Choirs Of The Eye. Now.

That is a brilliant album cover!

Never got round to hearing the second album but the first was pretty good though.

They have the singer from the Crown, correct? Are they similar musically to them or no?

More melodic than The Crown, groovier, and hookier. Still good.

Lmao. I dig both the art and the title. Global Drama...

Reminds me of the internet.

Listening to the new Hollenthon right now (for I am a Communist). My first taste of the band, very good so far. Like a more death/folk Therion. :dio:

Hopefully it's good, the last one had great songs but was weak overall I reckon.

Try getting "With Vilest Of Worms To Dwell", it's a pretty good album. I'm waiting until next week to go and get my copy of Atrox's new album, I've been waiting a while for this bastard to show face .

Yeah it had potential, just did not have any staying power.

Heres hoping the new one is better.

Scott Kelly from Neurosis has a new solo album called The Wake, also they just posted this on myspace:

Quote:
He is also currently working on the new Blood & Time recording as well as writing new music with Neurosis and Shrinebuilder which is a collaboration with Wino (St Vitus/Hidden Hand), Dale Crover (Melvins), and Al Cisneros (Om)

First album of actress Scarlett Johansson with TV On The Radio's producer, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' guitarist and David Bowie on two songs... Mostly Tom Waits covers (all but one).
A beautiful album that mixes shoegaze with jazz and folk.
Out on May 20th.

Heard a track yesterday, she's got an unusual voice, very husky. Like the instrumentation.

Her voice reminds me of Nico (remember The Velvet Underground ?) and fits Tom Waits' universe perfectly...

I encourage everybody to go and get a copy of "Binocular" by Atrox. It's been worth the 5 year wait .
