Just got the Blood Music vinyl editions of:

Moonsorrow - Tulimyrksky
Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja

I am also trying to get Havitätty and Verisääket.

They look beautiful by the way. My God.

Impressive! Do you have a current favorite album from those fantastic Finns, Thomas? (I need to relisten to them all)

Well.. Seeing as how they are in my Top 3 fav bands of all time, I tend to switch around a bit in their discorgraphy. Up until recently, I have been enjoying Kivenkantaja and Varjoina kuljemme kuolleiden maassa alot.

But I think Hävitetty may be my preferred pick right now. A magnificent hour of music.

My favorite of theirs too when I last listened to them in depth when their last full-length dropped. Tremendous band, least fond of their first few albums as compared to their later style, but quality throughout.

A new computer after the old one decided to implode. The shroud of the charge port fragmented and forced it's way into the motherboard.

Witchcraft - Legend (Outstanding album)
Burzum - Fallen (Repurchase, excellent album)
Vader - The Beast (It's Vader, always quality)
Meshuggah - Chaosphere (Still getting into this band)
Age of Taurus - Desperate Souls of Turtured Times (Very good indeed)
Alcest - Shelter (Unsure about this one, I think they need to get back to their BM roots)
Blood Tsunami - Grand Feast for Vultures (Repurchase, quite good!)
Pagan's Mind - Heavenly Esctasy (Always deliver)
Destruction - Spiritual Genocide (Haven't listened yet)
Grand Magus - Triumph and Power (Some excellent tracks, overall pretty good)

Also:

The movie: Dr. Strangelove

Well, that movie is always a blast to watch.

That particular Meshuggah is their most immediate listen, imo. Every other Meshuggah album I find myself only really enjoying a few tracks, with Chaosphere I think there is only one unmemorable one.

Have only heard good things about the movie. Just have to wait for a right chance to see it. In regards to Meshuggah, I'm just like you, I enjoy a few tracks but have a hard time getting through a whole album without changing the music.

Strangelove is a lot of fun and a great showcase for how talented an actor Peter Sellers was.

Agree on the 'shuggah. Very difficult to get through an entire album. I liked some of their stuff on Chaosphere and Destroy Erase Improve but the seven string, polyrythm thing I always found kind of boring. Was never a huge fan of Jens Kidman's vocals either. Caught them live a few years ago when they opened for Ministry and was not impressed at all. Al and Co. just blew them off the stage.

My recommendation for listening to Meshuggah is to make a mix of the 2-3 best tracks or so of every one of their albums. Makes for a much better experience than listening to most of their individual albums.
