That wouldn't be crap. It would be kvlt!

'kvlt' is generally a synonym for 'awful.'

the exceptions are few.

That's the fun of obscure bands...wade through loads of shit to find one unknown gem :D

Worst EVER?! Serious WTFage. The fact that you put Necrophagist in with Unspoken King has me fearing for your sanity.

I can actually sit through the worst albums I mentioned, but cannot sit through this one track that makes everything on St. Anger sound like a masterpiece.

Piece of garbage.

I think one big reason I don't like Alestorm is because they're popular simply because they're about pirates, and it's okay for them to suck because THEY'RE ABOUT PIRATES LOL PIRATE MUSIC SO AWESOME

The same thing goes for Dragonforce, but just replace "about" with "super" and "pirate(s)" with "fast" in the above statement.

I agree wholeheartedly, but sometimes it feels like I'm drinking raw sewage in the hopes that I may one day piss diamonds.

Quite interesting that they were rather well respected when they were called Battleheart. What changed?

Indeed. What's really annoying is how people listen to a song or so, don't get into it, and then declare the band one of their worst ever, like Coal Chamber don't exist or anything! Ken's absolutely right about how downloading has changed attitudes towards music.

Agreed.

I didn't appreciate my Blind Guardian's 'Imaginations from the other Side' mp3 until I bought the CD. And of course, I'll have to say that cassette tapes are better if you want to get the whole appreciating experience. Track searching by fast forwarding/rewinding is a big pain and you end up listening through the whole album. :)

I ALWAYS listen to a whole album so to make my mind about it. If nothing grabs me it's either because it's not my thing or because it's utter crap but, eitherway, I respect the artists work by not judging them on less than an album.
Downloading haven't changed my attitude a bit. I ALWAYS did that and probably always will.

I'll make a difference here and mention St. Anger.

well for me, the worst ever is something that is physically painful to listen to because of how terrible it is, so i considered getting through a song and a half of Septicflesh an accomplishment. like jogging a marathon.

edit: i just listened to "Shock the Monkey" on Coal Chamber's myspace and i'm more confused than anything

Would you think it's fair to judge a band based on a cover version of another artist's song with a guest on vocals ?
Silly you!
