I say that if you listen to metal and you get what it's all about then you qualify as a legitimate metal fan. I don't care if you listen to Pink or baroque music while not listening to metal. In fact, I have more respect for those who openly admit to enjoying other forms of music. As someone else pointed out earlier in the thread, I would rather know people who enjoy a myriad of musical styles and genres than those that just listen to one thing all the time.

I've never been one who has ever believed that you have to let a particular group, organization, or style define you at all. Enjoy the music people.

Your behaviour in this thread is completely nu-metal. If Devo says bitch, then ignore him, Zad! Can't be that hard. That goes the other way as well...

I'm pretty much like Legacy Of The Night. I just listen to what I like. But sometimes I try to let an album grow on me... which can be boring if it doesn't open up eventually (or never).

I guess you can say I'm a metal head who enjoys listening to metal. But I'm not like the pretty boys who go around to mosh pits and act like jack assess who think by listening to Pantera's Vulgar Display Of Power makes you the coolest guy on the block.

In retrospect I have no clue what I'm talking about but I'm hoping someone gets some of what I'm saying.

And let's not turn this into a hellheim shitfest ok guys let's have a nice normal discussion whatever that is around here.

haha i know man, but its so infrequent that it happens I mean I'll play a supposedly "classic" album like Rust In Peace and then the only good song happens to be Hangar 18 and the rest elevator music. Very seldom can you find an album that has 10/10 perfect songs.

haha educated? Nah man I like what I like which happens not to be Megadeth and i think the term would be REACTIVATION not education. But please impart on me all thy wisdom oh dear Goat, knock the neon t-shirts and tight pants out of my soul!!!

Personally, its one of those releases that kind of just has songs that mold into each other and harmlessly goes by I can't even listen to it without my mind wandering off to something else. Metal isn't supposed to do that, it's not energetic its just THERE. I can't really complain though I mean after listening to Pleasure to Kill there isn't much Megadeth can do besides make tunes that are ineffective

Then may I suggest:

Led Zeppelin : 4
AC/DC : Back In Black
Judas Priest : British Steel
Iron Maiden : The Number of the Beast

Just off the top of my head.

Sonata Arctica's Ecliptica. :D

I'd drop The number of the beast of that list. It's incredible, it's great, it's a classic, but Gangland is not a perfect song.
