i was listening to Fleshgod Apocalypse this weekend and while i mmostly enjoyed it i was annoyed at how often they ruined a good riff with blasting.

i mostly enjoyed it. i like them. they did kind of bungle the At The Gates cover though, and imo Oracles has its moments but the Mafia EP and Agony were way cooler.

Pfff. I never got into Agony. That album is way more susceptible to the critique of the drumming than Oracles, I think.

@Wally: he said the "good ones" or something to that effect, which made me read it the same way as you.

touché. Fleshgod is one of the good ones but not when they're bungling Blinded by Fear :P

maybe where the drumming 'ruins' the riffing in Agony, the classical bits come up and disguise it?

Anthrax with Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown playing This Love and snippet of Raining Blood.

Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' came on the radio today. it was at the office, you know how these things are!

the chorus is quite catchy, although i could have done without the dubstep crap - such awful music. without having to investigate i just knew that Max Martin guy had a hand in it. the man has a talent, and he's using it for evil. clearly he won't rest until one of his songs gets stuck the whole fucking world's collective ears and we all kill ourselves to escape.

anyway check it out. nice chorus.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNoKguSdy4Y first 2 minutes are some break up bullshit or something

Agreed, and I came in wanting to dislike it for the structural changes.
