Jonas Hellborg - Elegant Punk
Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

i hope Elegant Punk doesn't suck; i've heard Jonas has disowned his early work.

Amputechture is probably The Mars Voltas least accessible and most jazzy album so far. Takes a while to get used to, at least for me, but very very rewarding.
The Latter Rain is a fine progressive death metal record from Norway. They explore quite a few moods and styles throughout the album and execute them excellently. Well worth a listen!

I finally bought the first Demons & Wizards record. Good stuff. I like it a little better than Touched By The Crimson King since it sounds less stale/recycled and more musically rich.

The Mars Volta are a band I keep meaning to listen to but never get around to doing so. I've been eyeing up their last album (I think) for a bit. Cheers for the other one though, I'll look into them!

I got:

The Mars Volta--De-Loused in the Comatorium
The Mars Volta--Amputechture

for Christmas. The Mars Volta are always good for gift lists because you can be pretty sure that family and stuff can find them in regular stores like Best Buy. Unlike Kayo Dot, which I also put on my list and caused my cousin a lot of trouble when she actually tried to find it in stores :(. In the end she ordered it off amazon so I've got Choirs of the Eye forthcoming too.

Vinterskugge's a good listen, not heard the other Isengard release. Classic Death/Mercyful Fate albums, not heard that Lumsk, good Mayhem (not great), and excellent Mars Volta, the first I heard from them. Better than average CoB, used to rly like it, gone off them a bit now.

You didn't already have After the Gold Rush? I am shocked, even I have that.

Nah, bit of a slow starter on Young. Had Everyone Knows This Is Nowhere, Harvest, Living With War, and Rust Never Sleeps.

Sgt Pepper's is so overrated. People says it's the Beatles best, but the White Album, Abbey Road and Revolver pwn it.

Bon Iver-For Emma, Forever Ago
Venetian Snares-Cavalcade Of Glee And Happy Hardcore Pom Poms
Bonnie Prince Billy-I See A Darkness
Iron & Wine- Our Endless Numbered Days

All have been great, I must say.

Well I must admit, I wouldn't have any Neil Young albums if it wasn't for my parents. But yeah, I have got all of those. Plus several more, it's surprising how many albums he has released both all by himself and with Crazy Horse.

Opeth -- Damnation

All I need is for Still Life to arrive, and I'll have all of Opeth's studio albums.
