I dislike emos because it pollutes my sight it's fucking disgusting, tell me that you don't find it disgusting when two emo guys make out with each other, if so you're definitly gay too and should go join them. If I remember correctly The Who didnt wear makeup and didn't look like a bunch of frickin' pussies, maybe the hair has a little ressemblance and as for Queen, no ressemblance at all. What I care the most is the music and My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade is a great album no matter what you say.

Why do you need to be so judgmental about people who just want to fit in. You're aloud to dislike it, but you have no control over it so why not just ignore it ? It's no different than you with your Mustaine wannabe hair and your piss poor arrogant attitude that absolutely needs to scream "Metal rules and everything else sucks and I'm above everything else". An Emo kid probably looks at you and thinks the same about you that you do about them but at least they don't have the desire to kill you for it...

Everybody follows a trend at some point in there life whether it be the metallers, the goths, the punks, the emos or the grunge followers of the 90's. These trends come and go and some stay past their welcome time ex: mullets.

I don't follow trends, I dress the way I feel like and I grow my hair, whatever man that's not a trend, that's just me. I made this thread, I can say what I want in it. Same thing can be said about people who like My Chemical Romance, if they like the music, they obviously wouldn't care. Though hating and/or liking a music genre because of the image and trends is a very insecure thing to do IMO. Especially bashing music (metal is a good example) they probably never even heard to reassure themselves.

My view with the "hot new trends" (such as emo) is while it is annoying that everyone in your life that you see don't seem to like metal at all, and instead watered down mainstream garbage, at least I (and a million other people) listen to metal and enjoy it, so let the "emo" people not see the light for all I care. Though brainwashed (in getting caught up with the crowd, ex. "those people must be wrong/have issues cuz its not the most popular thing evar lol!), it's still possible for them discover music on their own, they just don't know anything better is out there. And there is the possibility people can actually sincerely like emo music (or My Chemical Romance).

It's weird how people associate an image of a band with their own personality. I suppose Miley Cyrus proves that with all it's 12 year old girl fans (as the majority at least)

I think emos dress funny and look idiotic but I don't care what they do it's their life they have every right to dress and listen to what they want welcome to America.I ignore them they don't bother me one bit.

As I mentioned if it bothers you either ignore them,don't look at them or simply don't hang around places they hang around.

You can say that about goths and Metellers as well... chains and spiked belts and arm wrists and those black shiny vinyl clothes look all pretty ridiculous to me when I go to metal shows. But who am I to judge ! It's all a matter of perspective!

i don't think it's that weird. a big reason people listen to music because they can relate to what the musicians are expressing; it's not that big of a leap to go from relating just to their music to their image as well.
