Am I the only one who has always heard more rock than metal in Iron Maiden?

Is that you saying YEAH! or is that actually the name of their album?

:?

Yep, but it's a cover's album. They're covering old obscure 70's rock songs. Shit they liked. Songs most people won't have heard of, thus the album will flop.

They had better be careful and not choose any songs you might hear on a classic rock station.. the originals from that era are all excellent as they are.

Nah, it's a lot of obscure tracks. The supposed tracklisting is as follows:

01. Hellraiser (orig. by The Sweet)
02. No Matter What (orig. by Badfinger)
03. Rock On (orig. by David Essex)
04. Hanging on the Telephone (orig. by Blondie)
05. 20th Century Boy (orig. by T. Rex)
06. Drive-In Saturday (orig. by David Bowie)
07. Street Life (orig. by Roxy Music)
08. He's Gonna Step On You Again (orig. by John Kongos)
09. Waterloo Sunset (orig. by The Kinks)
10. Little Bit O' Love (orig. by Free)
11. 10538 Overture (orig. by Electric Light Orchestra)
12. Golden Age of Rock'n'Roll (orig. by Mott the Hoople)
13. Don't Believe A Word (orig. by Thin Lizzy)
14. Stay with Me (orig. by The Faces)

Yes, we do. DoD was good.

Yeah DoD was great as far as I'm concerned.

For Pete: Probably the second half of the year, pretty much exactly three years after DoD.

I haven't heard a single one of those songs..

I'm sure, if any, you'd recognize "Hanging On The Telephone." That's probably the most famous of the lot, or the most recognizable.

Actually, I do own that on 'Best of Blondie'.

Theocracy
Time Requiem
Maybe a new Orphaned Land
Isn't Megadeth in the studio?
I also heard Heavenly has an album in the works.

New Theocracy, good call. I'll add the following:

Second Sky - TBA
Nightingale - White Darkness

Dan Swano is the man behind Second Sky, which is basically Unicorn, his early band, under a new name. Serious prog-rock, but damn good. Dan is the man! These two albums with kick ass, especially since Nightingale is supposed to be going in a really dark direction.

Not sure, but the Drovers and Nils K. Rue are finishing up the new (last?) Eidolon album.

I've heard the ones in red. If you haven't heard Waterloo Sunset, you haven't lived. Bowie cover, anyone?

The new Olivia can be pre-ordered from cdinzane.com
I did not know Human Fortress was coming out with a new one. that would be great because the 2nd release was one of the best power metal albums made :)

If so post some links please so we can read about it. This is one of my favorite Power metal bands. There website is rarely active :(

With Heavenly it's not a matter of liking or not liking. I'm totally indifferent towards this band, mostly because they can't impress me with anything, besides a couple of songs from each album that I rarely listen. Heavenly is just one of all those bands, if you know what I mean.
