One of my favorite female singers in an intimate setting. Delightful.

That Sieges Even album is fucking gorgeous, omg

Also, played earlier today:

I always enjoy this band's brand of Metalcore. The World Engulfed In Flames might end up being one of my favorite songs from this year.

Sweet folk/americana duet. Perfect for a sunday morning on a grey autumn day.

Surprisingly thrashy. Good stuff, though.

Good call, bloodpet. This album is by far one of the best doom albums ever. Melancholic yet romantic and just fucking heavy despite its beauty.

You both make me happy here. I love Turn Loose the Swans/The Angel in the Dark River as much as anyone, but this album benefits immensely from better production and MDB's best drumming performance. Dreadful Hours and the full-lengths right before and after it have aged more gracefully than their classic earlier albums for those reasons.

The return of MDB's best drummer and (based on the previews) that heavier Dreadful Hours era sound for their EP (The Barghest O Whitby) to be released next week should have you guys quick to listen to it so we have something new to talk about. :)

You guys. Putting this on now.

We should totally arrange group listening sessions to albums, by the by.

Oh my god. Essentially listening to the same album at the same time and just chatting about it? I've done that with movies over the phone and it was awesome and would totally be into it.

I enjoy the quasi-breakdown in Black Heart Romance at about 2:45.

The movie thing was kinda funny because a girlfriend rented a movie I raved about in high school, Fight Club actually, she told me what scene she just watched and I started playing it on my laptop and told her tons of minute things about the movie and she had no idea I was watching it as she was. She just thought I was a genius.

Yeah, exactly. Seems mad that no-one's suggested it before.
