You should migrate down here to Rites of Darkness Skart, there are a lot of incredible bands everything from Demigod to Zemial.

Question time!!! Sunday night I can see Big Business/Torche/Helms Alee or or or Intronaut/Animals As Leaders/Dead Letter Circus/Last Chance To Reason/Evan Brewer. I've only heard Intronaut and Animals but I like Intronaut a lot. So should I go with Intronaut basically or Big Business/Torche?

Go see Last Chance to Reason.

They are an amazing live show.

Ended up seeing Big Business, Helms Alee, and Torche. It turns out a friend of mine was Big Business' roadie when they toured with Melvins so yeah that was kinda fun to talk to them. Pretty decent show put on by them. Helms Alee was better live than on disc and Torche is just so fucking weak. I look at them like V looks at Krallice. Fucking posers doing poser hipster shit.

Hammer Open Air was fvcking bad ass. Highlights of the weekend for me were Primordial, Inquisition, Satanic Warmaster and Stormheit. Autopsy was cool, but since I'm not that big of a fan of them, I just enjoyed the show instead of going orgasmic like most of the people there. From what little I was able to check out Mortifera, they also didnt seem that bad.

It's been a while since I've been to a live show so I've got some things planned: tomorrow Lokerse Feesten (Dream Theater), Heidenfest in October (Wintersun!) and probably Opeth and Pain of Salvation in November. Might go to Neckbreakers Ball with Dark Tranquillity too, that remains to be seen.

Exodus/Rob Zombie/Slayer

Slayer played nearly all stuff from their classic albums (up to an including Seasons of the Abyss), and I have got to say, nothing really beats a Slayer show for pure headbanging. Tom Araya sounded great, and the classic line-up is soooo tight live. I got two tickets to our company box seat, and my brother and I had plenty of room to go crazy. By the end of it, we were both soaked in sweat, with my brother looking like he stepped out of the shower.

Rob Zombie was good for the chicks, basically it's like dance metal set to boobie cartoons (plenty of skin on the movie set behind him). I can dig it live.

Exodus was really good as well.. not as neck snapping as Slayer, but they plenty of decent songs. They even got the crowd to do a Wall of Death .. which was very cool to watch. I think a few people got carried off on stretchers.

Here's to "Slayer neck" :dio:

I saw Liturgy with a couple of my friends bands in Arizona a week or so ago. It was a good show, I left during the middle of Liturgy but they sounded good from what I heard. I had an opportunity to talk to their drummer before the show and he was a pretty chill guy, good drummer.

Seeing Enabler(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Go9FAaqg8) and Mares of Thrace (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H-xIQMi440), an almost post-hardcore-y doomy sludge metal band, do a double header this afternoon. A house show in Cincy and then drive to Dayton to see them at a metal bar.

Seriously, how small is your dick that all you do is criticize, bitch and moan everything else that everyone likes? Did your dad stomp your puppy right before your eyes growing up or what? Regardless of Mares, Enabler is the heaviest thing ever live. And tbh I don't give a fuck what you think of music anymore. You listen to bland generic death/deathcore/goregrind bands all the time yet feel like every other band sucks, case in point, saying Megadeth isn't as good as Vital Remains. Get over yourself or post only when you're not PMS-ing ffs.

Older Vital Remains is better than any of your shitty lefty bands, and Megadeth have never been any good-kind of like the fringe grind bands that you and your poetry club buddies listen to while you fuck each other. At least I can listen to crap outside of my ideological safe box, while you bitch about NSBM bands and how evil capitalism is. Can you even stomach anything that isn't complaining about how bad the Western World is? Of course you can't you Marxist frog

I sure would like it if all the verbal sparring could be contained to a thread, or even a board section.

First Number Of The Beast, now the entire 'Deth catalogue are in line for your dissings? Outrageous - neither Maiden nor Megadeth are remotely Marxist, and both easily beat Vital Remains of whatever period. Please stop the crazy talk, Steve.

Can't disagree. Perhaps you could keep your McCarthyist activities to the Politics thread, Steve?

I never referred to Maiden or Megadeth as Marxist, I was talking to MR'S resident fudgepacker (Trapt) about his own shitty taste in the music. As for Maiden I'm still exploring their discography they have good songs and not so great albums. Megadeth suffer from some of the dullest riffs, worst vocals, and tamest songs whereas Vital's older material integrate the darkest of doom's heaviness, Morbid Angel's occult mystique, and would smash any of Megadeth's crap.
