Matt Mcwhatsit has confirmed that there'll be a new Cryptopsy album next year, with Jon Levasseur back in the band. Sadly, he'll still be doing the vocals.

This is glorious news! I am extremely curious as to see what the new album will sound like taking into consideration that "After" sounded quite unique compared to his other solo works. I am expecting nothing but brilliance from the man.

Now that's a smart move, especially after such a huge fuck up. Levasseur was a major player in their earlier success. If they can keep that faggot to growls only, we can have a good album on our hands.

The Matt guy just needs to go, his "growls" are just as shit as his singing. That said, Levasseur back in the band guarantees at least awesome musicianship, so I guess I'm excited nonetheless. I swear Cryptopsy just can't catch a break when it comes to vocalists. The only one I have liked was Lord Worm and even then he is a little eccentric for my tastes.

For instance And Then You'll Beg and Whisper Supremacy are both filled with awesome music but DiSalvo's awful vocals kill it for me. The only Cryptopsy albums I regularly listen to are the ones with Lord Worm.

Don't know if anybody put anyhting up yet, but Kreator went into the studio back in May for a new album. Should be out around the holiday season.
