Also, I wanted to list of mp3 downloadables only, media players are cool and all, but I prefer to have new stuff mixed in with the old rather than ardiously seeking out the band's site to listen to the songs.

I'm sure the moderatorswant to keep things legal, so i've kept that in mind, as i'm not a fan of illegal downloads myself. Hoffman's website has been up for so long now and i personally have resulted in the bands getting more sales because of the exposure.

also

http://www.ayreon.com/ayreon/ay_downloads.html
http://www.ayreon.com/starone/so_downloads.html

about eight songs to try out.

Heathen offers Breaking the Silence, Victims of Deception and the 2005 demo for free. Not bad for two of the best thrash albums of all time and three of the best thrash songs in the past decade.

That demo is great, weren't they supposed to release a full length last year? Whatever happened to them?

Anacrusis used to have their albums for free download, but I see their site isn't online anymore.

Lee Altus has been playing in Exodus for the past two years. I would imagine that keeps him busy.
