This concept is a bit old school and may seem odd to some of you younger people, but it's worked on another forum I post at, and it's worked well. It's very simple, of course. You post CDs you have, others do the same, people make trades. Any interest? (First person to send me a pipe bomb dies—if I live.) |

Any interest? (First person to send me a pipe bomb dies—if I live.) Heh. I would be, but I like the vast majority of what I own, only a few things, like an Anthrax Best-Of, that not. I do have a shitload of promos that I wouldn't mind moving on, though. All this is assuming you've got the postal service sorted out at your end after that last fiasco. ![]() |

Any interest? (First person to send me a pipe bomb dies—if I live.) I actually am the co-owner of a message board devoted to this topic and it absolutely went no where. I did a couple good trades and that was about it. I have a lot of stuff I'd get rid of. lemme make a list. |

If so, why would that affect somebody purchasing CDs? Yeah, it's like X-Mas. "Christ" is an evil word. ![]() Anyway, I think the point may have been that Christians often find "secular" music to be ungodly, so parents can be really controlling of what their children listen to, if they consider it to be a non-Christian band. |

Of all my albums I'm only willing to part with a few. I've been pretty fortunate so far that in my 188 CD collection I've only purchased a few albums I consider stinkers and I just don't want em. Slaughter - Stick It To Ya (Leave it alone Linty ![]() Stratovarious - Intermission 12 Stones - 12 Stones (Not metal (Not why it sucks though), bought it about 4 years ago and I dunno why I still have it) Valar - Magic & Wyrmfire Now, if anybody offered me albums I wanted I do have a few albums I like I'd be willing to part with for something better. Chinchilla - Madness Eidolon - Nightmare World Jag Panzer - Thane To The Throne Queensryche - Promised Land Domine - Dragonlord As for albums I'm looking for, I really wanna finish my collection of everything Jon Oliva. I have 5 Savatage albums (Mountain King, Gutter, Streets, Dead Winter Dead, Poets) 1 TSO album (Beethoven's Last Night), 1 Jon Oliva's Pain album ('Tage mahal) and the re-release of Doctor Butcher. So if anyone has anything Jon Oliva related that I don't own from that list and you want any albums I listed feel free to message. Also, here is a list of my whole collection, I may part with some other things depending. http://rateyourmusic.com/collection/Sidebot/oo |

1. You're a hyprocrite. How can a self-professed christian blatantly steal music and act like they are doing anything is insanely stupid. 2. You're stealing music and doing nothing to suport the artists who make the music, that's fucked up. 3. I am not innocent, I download a lot of albums, but also have bought over 800 albums in about 5 years and contribute as much money as possible to supporting deserving musicians. My philosophy as of late is download and listen, delete anything mediocre downloaded and buy the albums if there is enough material to support. (No I won't buy a CD because I enjoy 2 songs off an album, I'll definitely buy if I enjoy the majority of it. A lot of bands I automatically buy thier material without hearing it because I have so much faith in thier abilities. I do my best to order CD's from stores rather than buying stuff that is in stock. Buying a cd that is already in the store does no good, it has already been soundscanned, sold and contributed to the band. There's little chance of it getting re-ordered if it is not fairly popular. Ordering a CD means you directly contribute to the album's sales. Sometimes I offset downloading out of print albums by purchasing multiple copies of an artists in-print material. (For example, I ordered an extra copy of VD's Stream of consciousness to make up for NOT being able to buy the S/T or SMAA.) Rant over. |
