I guess the question is, what bands would you have enjoyed to see live, but for some reason or another, you can't now. Off the top of my head, mine would be:

Death - Chuck Schuldiner is dead now
The Crown - Broken up
In Flames circa 2000 - Colony would have just come out, and that concert would be awesome.

Burzum, Sabbath back in the day, Skyclad with Walkyier, Johnny Cash, James Brown, Dead Kennedys with Jello, Cryptopsy with Worm (although he'll probably be back with them in a year or three), Voivod with Piggy, Death too of course. Lots!

a huge number of bands from the 70s (Camel, Wishbone Ash, Jethro Tull, Sabbath, Night Sun, Flower Travellin' Band, Cargo, Morgen, King Crimson)... I know some of those are still together but they're old men now.

Grateful Dead - late '72 -'74 or maybe '91
Rush - late 70's

I'm not really into concerts so I guess that's about it...

Savatage with Criss.. I'd still like to see Savatage though, I'd even take Jon Oliva's Pain since they play alot of Sava songs.

Burzum, with Varg on drums and vocals, and NC and Fenriz on guitars and bass. Would make sense cos Varg has stated that Darkthrone are one of the only bm bands he respects. Also it would be sweet to see the dudes from Darkthrone play.

Also DARKTHRONE!! :dio:

Hey,

I was lucky enough to see Beyond Fear, Chris Caffery, and Jon Oliva's Pain a few years ago. JOP are really good live but nothing at all up to the quality of Savatage with Caffery. If you get the chance, check out TSO. They're fantastic live.

I'll never ever forget seeing Alice In Chains open for Extreme...of all bands. That crowd was not ready for the sound that AIC brought with them. It was just before grunge really broke loose. I was thoroughly impressed with AIC but the hair-band contingent just kept looking at each other, shrugging their shoulders, and asking, "WTF is this shit?" It was hilarious.

I witnessed the same reaction when Van Halen took AIC out on the road to open for them during the F.U.C.K. tour. Equallly as hilarious. The crowd was chanting "Van Halen...Van Halen"....Lane Staley threw down the microphone and screamed...."Fuck All Of You!!!" Staley was awesome.
