Guitarists that possess a combination of unique style, agility and speed tastefully executed.

Hank Shermann
Andy Laroque
Malmsteen
Craig Locicero
Cris Oliva
Chuck Shuldiner
George Lynch
Gary Moore
David Gilmour (well, no speed here, but, fuck it)
Michael Shenker
John Sykes
Eddie Van Halen
Steve Vai
Trey Azagtoth
Uli Jon Roth
Al Di Meola
that's all I can think of right now.

Any others?

Haha, how could I have forgotten Rhoads??? Or Blackmore, for that matter?
Nice list.
Out of the three, Clapton / Page / Beck, I always thought Beck was the better all around guitarist, though Page is pretty damn good, too.

Beck seems more disciplined.

Another one from way back when that doesn't get the glory he deserves is Frank Marino.

Yes, you're right.
Though he takes an awful lot from Jimi Hendrix...

While we're at it, there's Randy California too.
And lets not forget good old Tony Iommi, he may not be the greatest soloist but he was a true riffmaster! :dio:

if his albums with Jonas Hellborg and Jeff Sipe were people they'd be a threesome between Kate Beckinsale, Emily Mortimer and Saffron Burrows

Wot, no Michael Angelo Battio?
He is good, even if he is cheesier than the state of Wisconsin.

I have not yet seen anybody else play two guitars at once, and pretty decently, at that.

Reason for editing: Don't know my states, apparently.
